Welcome to our blog! We’re the Abraira-Burklins, and we’re glad you’re here.
We are a German-American family of four that moved to Paris in 2024. 

Our family’s origin story began in Washington, DC, where we traded in our sensible jobs
for a seven-month, round-the-world trip in 2014. We blogged about that trip here. Since then,
we’ve called Singapore, Munich, Geneva, London, and the Italian Piedmont home. 

Along the way, we added Chloe (4) and Yves (1) to the family. While having kids
has not stopped us from traveling, it has changed how we travel. The key – as
anyone with a tiny human can tell you – is preparation.

That’s where this blog comes in. Our hope is to help you enjoy Paris as a family,
with a little less stress and a little more wonder.
